Am I Eating Enough?
A virtual workshop for dental hygienists.
We bend over backwards (literally) for our patients, but find ourselves neglecting our own needs and our own health.
Which is why I created this workshop for you.
It’s time to start putting yourself and your health first.
It’s only going to make you a happier, patient and more resilient dental hygienist.
Hi, I’m Kelsey!
I’m a registered dental hygienist. I graduated from hygiene school in 2018, but prior to that I earned my bachelors degree in nutrition and dietetics in 2015. I worked as a nutritionist for one year and then I decided to go to hygiene school.
While I was working as a nutritionist, I did not have the best relationship with food and exercise. I was always trying to change my body, but yet, that's when I felt my worst in my body. I wasn't confident. I didn't eat "bad" food, but I still was holding on to weight. I was petrified of sweets or any sort of meal that contained carbohydrates. I used to believe that I would never be able to eat a carb without gaining weight. And then adding alcohol and hangovers to the mix just brought out my rebellious side and I would eat whatever regardless of how it made me feel. I was deprived of food, yet I was still considered "overweight" at the doctors office and I even worked out 4-5 days a week. It was an extremely discouraging time in my life because I had a degree in nutrition, but I hated nutrition. But then, right before I started hygiene school, I found this woman's blog post on intuitive eating and everything changed! I finally found some clarity and freedom with food, exercise and my body.
As someone that studied nutrition, I still felt confused with my own nutrition intake. I couldn't tell if I was eating enough or getting enough nutrients. But NOW... I can.
Which is also why I’ve created this workshop for you - I want to help you learn a new way of eating so you can start trusting your body more and feel your freaking best!
What to Expect
It is a virtual, interactive workshop. .
I’ll explain 4 concepts that will hopefully help you understand if you’re eating enough throughout the day.
I’ll also share some tangible nutrition tips that can help support your work days (and weekends).
The workshops is via zoom and it will not be recorded; however, depending on how things unfold, I may offer the same workshop again in the future.
