What is Myofunctional Therapy?
To summarize it, it is basically a progressive type of therapy for your tongue, facial, chewing + swallowing muscles to help you establish a healthier tongue posture at rest and to help you establish nasal breathing day and night.
For example, some people have chronic tension, headaches, jaw pain, popping + clicking of TMJ joint all because of incorrect tongue posture.
Or some people always have their mouth open because they cannot seal their lips well or because they really struggle to breathe through their nose all because of incorrect tongue posture.
Both examples come along with a series of symptoms (see below!).
